Students belonging to the economically backward OBC category in the state can apply for the Overseas Scholarship Scheme implemented by the Backward Classes Development Department to provide financial assistance to pursue higher education in foreign countries.
Those pursuing postgraduate courses and Ph.D in foreign universities in medicine, engineering, pure science, agriculture, management, social science and law abroad can apply under the "Overseas Scholarship" scheme. Apply through www.egrantz.kerala.gov.in scholarship portal.
Annual income of applicants should not exceed Rs.6 lakhs. Only online applications through the e-Grants 3.0 portal will be accepted. Must have graduated with not less than 60% marks or equivalent grade. Only those who are pursuing higher studies in the subject in which they have graduated or in a related subject are considered for the scholarship. Candidates applying for Ph.D course should have master's degree in relevant subject. Age limit should be less than 40 years as on 01.08.2024.
